Removal and installation of the fan with вязкостной муфтой

320i, 323i, 328i with the conditioner

The fan with вязкостной муфтой is fixed on a shaft of the pump of a cooling liquid. Together with the fan having the electric drive, its problem includes giving of enough of air through a radiator.

Муфту the fan it is necessary to replace, if the nave has teases and deterioration. Thus the fan at the motionless engine does not rotate or rotates hardly. Муфту it is necessary to replace also if the axial or radial backlash is exceeded by 0.6 mm. For check it is necessary to move the fan in longitudinal and cross-section directions. Thus oil should not follow from a nave.


 REMOVAL

1 Remove directing soaked up air for what a small screw-driver take out clips.

2 Turn away the fan from a nave of the pump of a cooling liquid a key on 32 mm.

The fastening nut has the left carving and for отворачивания should rotate to the right (an arrow on an illustration).

At отворачивании the nave is necessary for keeping nuts from rotation клиновым a belt. If the nut sits especially strong, it is possible to knock on a key with a hammer. HUNDRED BMW are applied for this purpose by the special tool with which help the pulley is kept for heads of bolts. After отворачивания nuts further it can be braided rotation крыльчатки. Watch that крыльчатка has not fallen. The fan acts in film upwards.

3 Disconnect крыльчатку from вязкостной муфты for what turn out screws (arrows on an illustration) and take out муфту.



 INSTALLATION

4 Insert вязкостную муфту in крыльчатку and fix its screws the moment 10 Н•м.

For an exception of damage of a carving and муфты do not tighten screws too strongly.

5 Fix the fan with муфтой on a nave of the pump of a cooling liquid the moment 40 Н•м. Thus keep a nave from проворачивания for клиновой a belt or heads of bolts.

Do not warp a nut at installation.

6 Insert directing soaked up air and fix clips.
