BMW 3 series E46

1 Moisten a windscreen with water.
2 Include for short time a screen wiper and stop its switch. Thus the cleaner stops in a starting position.
3 Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery at the switched off ignition. The battery is in a luggage compartment behind a cover on the right side. At cars BMW 318i the battery settles down in an impellent compartment.

As a result of switching-off of the storage battery the data from memory of malfunctions of some monitors is erased. If necessary before battery switching-off it is necessary to consider the given memories of malfunctions. Address to Section Diagnostics of malfunctions. Work it is desirable to spend HUNDRED in conditions.

4 Note on a windscreen position of a brush of a screen wiper. For this purpose near to a brush paste on strip glass.

5 Remove a screw-driver of a cover from screen wiper fastening at the left and on the right.

6 Turn away a nut-1.

7 Remove both levers by means of a usual stripper from axes. Levers sit very strongly and do not act in film without the special tool. The aperture of cams of a stripper should be not less than 16.3 mm. On an accompanying illustration stripper BMW – 616000 is represented. However it is possible to apply also tool HAZET 1966-5. On an illustration, for an example, the lever of other car is shown.

8 Take out adjusting plugs from cleaner levers.

9 Establish into place the lever and expose it according to the marks put on a windscreen.

10 Establish on an axis-2 adjusting plug-1 and press it заподлицо with the lever-3.

11 Fix the lever the moment 25 Н•м and through 15 mines once again the moment 25 Н•м.
12 Put a cover on a fastening nut.
13 Similarly establish the second lever.
14 Attach a negative cable (-) the storage battery at the switched off ignition. Establish hours.
